My name is Andreas Anastasiou, and I grew up right here in the Henrico area. I first picked up a brush during my high school summers, working as a painter and learning the fundamentals the right way. Prep matters. Details matter. Your reputation is only as good as your last job. What started as a summer job quickly turned into a craft I took seriously.
When I left for college, painting didn’t stay behind. Every summer I came home, I gradually took on more responsibility. I went from painter to project supervisor, managing crews, timelines, and quality, and later became a project manager, overseeing multiple projects while still finishing my degree.
Those years taught me that most people never see the difference between a paint job that looks good for a few months and one that holds up for years. The difference between companies that rush jobs and those that run them professionally.
I graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!), and it became clear to me that I wanted to build my own painting company. I wanted to take everything I had learned from years of painting and managing and run a business the way I believed it should be run. That’s how Blue Ladder was born.
At Blue Ladder, reliability is at the core of everything we do. We show up on time, communicate clearly, and follow through on every promise. We do what we say we will do, price work honestly, treat every project like it matters, and leave your space cleaner than we found it. Blue Ladder is a Class A licensed, bonded, and insured contractor with the Commonwealth of Virginia, giving our clients the confidence that every project is done safely, legally, and to the highest standard.
Painting is a trade, and when it is done right, it shows. When it is rushed, it also shows. We always choose the first option. Our clients trust us because they know they can count on us from the first call to the final brushstroke.
